Arriving to New York

By air

We recommend arriving to LaGuardia Airport if possible, as it is the smallest in the city and the closest and most convenient to Brooklyn. You can take a free shuttle bus to the Subway, or a taxi or ride share to your lodgings.

John F. Kennedy Airport is recommended next, though it is a much larger and more hectic airport, currently with construction projects. You can take the AirTrain to the Subway, or a taxi or ride share to your lodgings.

Newark Liberty Airport is in New Jersey, and accessible by New Jersey Transit to Penn Station, where you can transfer to the Subway.

By train

You can arrive via Amtrak to New York Pennsylvania Station and take the Subway or a taxi or ride share to your lodgings.

By car

Driving in New York is for only the bravest, but it can be done. Our room block at the Hilton does not include parking, and costs can be expensive in Brooklyn garages. We recommend using SpotHero for the best nightly rates.

Getting around

Subway

The New York City Subway is the backbone of the city, and a method of transport millions of people rely on daily to commute to work, school, and wedding celebrations. We encourage you to get to know the Subway while you’re visiting, and utilize it for the low price of $3 per ride. You can get an OMNY card to tap and ride, or use your contactless cards.

Ride share

Uber and Lyft are more expensive in New York than elsewhere, and we also have congestion pricing to enter Manhattan below 59th Street. While it might seem more convenient, traffic can slow you down significantly and the Subway is often faster than a car in New York. We recommend using ride share sparingly in our safe city!
